Federal Govt Reverse moves to reopen Schools for WASSCE NECO NABTEB

The Federal Government of Nigeria led by President Muhammadu Buhari, has on Wednesday withdraw moves to reopen Schools for students who are anticipating to participate in the West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE).

Recall that News4Naija had earlier reported the announcement of the Federal Government through its Minister of State for States, Chukwuemeka Nwajiuba, which was majored on plans to reopen Schools for students in states that wish to participate in WASSCE.

Nwajuiba also said in his statement that preparations will be made to conduct the National Examination Council Examination (NECO) as well as that of the National Business and Technical Examination Board (NABTEB) immediately after the completion of WASSCE.

The West African Senior School Certificate Examination had earlier been put on hold I definitely due to the wide spread of the Coronavirus diseas, was later scheduled to commence on the 5th of August 2020 under strict compliance with the COVID-19 preventive measures.

The Minister went further to explain that no student will be allowed to return to school including the SS3 students preparing for the West African Senior School Certificate Examination.

Stressing that the West African Examination Council cannot determine School reopening dates.
