AN ASSAULT TO THE FIRST FOOT-SOLDIERS AFTER OJUKWU IKEMBA NDIGBO; "WELL MEANING IGBO'S SHOULD CALL VALENTINE OBIENYEM TO ORDER AND TO RENDER AN APOLOGY", ESPECIALLY ON HIS WRITE-UP/ASSAULT TO AN IGBO'S FIRST STAKEHOLDERS SEN DR SIR VICTOR UMEH OFR, ENGR ARTHUR EZE etc, OR WE SHAKE THE TABLE....

I think this is my first response to your various bra bra bra write-up at your age, an age of production/exploit, at an age that you are supposed to have some boys writing in support to your own Political elections.

Val werukwa nu ako Uche gi wee mebe ihe, maka iburozi taata.

Ana eme nkpoko, ufodu ndi dika Valentine ana eme nkposa, chee na ha ma ihe ha na eme.

Val is high time you learn politics and benefit from politics or you end up not making a name for urself as a politician.

Your Boss, our own brother Peter Obi, to me he is a good leader we all know, only that he is too stingy and not knowing the fact that it is GOD THAT GIVES WEALTH "EGO KRISTI all money or wealth comes from Christ the Lord  God Almighty" and as such that God is the giver of all mega wealth and God likewise replenishes one whenever he/she gives to the less-privileged, to the poor, to the dependent youths, to the widows, to the widower, to the motherless baby homes, to the mentally challenged, to the orphans etc.
He should run open door policies, and should some times dash-out things to the youths of his town Agulu and youths of Anaocha LG; considering the enormous wealth people says he controls.
In this World vanity upon vanity all is vanity bc ONE DAY HE WILL LEAVE ALL THESE MUNDANE THINGS AND ANSWER HIS CLARION CALL.
Just citing as an example the most recent case of a great lost of a cheerful giver, a philanthropist and an outstanding prosperous wealthy industrious man to Anaocha LG, in the person of Late Chief Anthony Obiagbaoso Enukeme, Onowu Aku-uvom(MD Tonimas Oil/White Castle Hotel), a demise that is still like a shock to me bc i recently visited the inmates of his single-handedly built Trinitarian less-privileged/Motherless baby home Neni on Easter this year 2020 and i also communicated with him MD Tonimas Oil some weeks back when we the ADS Anaocha LG were about to start-up our Prof Soludo Football Competition in Anaocha LG and he said thay we should go-on that he is in support and knows when to support financially.
But Val, His Excellency Mr Peter Obi has made his own name, and his name is written in Gold in World Politics, what of your own name, even in ur home town Agulu; how many youths can boost of having you as their brother and boss at ur age and long participation in our National and State Politics, considering the title you gave yourself as a Stakeholder in Anambra Politics???

Why are you shooting yourself in the leg, is this how you are going to start campaigning for you BOSS via President of Nigeria.
Even Sen Dr Sir Victor Umeh OFR Ohamadike Agulu that you are castigating was very happy in support of his brother's Peter Obi Vice Presidential ambition in their last election.
I have soo many evidence in support to that bc i went around with him Sen Dr Sir Victor Umeh OFR during his campaign for the last Senate elections where he Sen Victor Umeh always tells the  people, "Let's vote for our brother(Peter Obi) for Vice-President and then vote for me(Victor Umeh) bc Aguluzoigbo and Agulu are brothers". Hon Okwuto Agulu can attest to this.
But this his(Umeh's vote for my brother my brother) was what gave the so called his brother's party(PDP) the opportunity to sweeped our LG Anaocha in the last Senate and Presidential elections. Which gave PDP the opportunity and then confusion with which the used to rigged our LG election; BUT IT CAN NEVER HAPPEN AGAIN IN ANAOCHA LG, EVEN IN ANAMBRA BC WE ARE AS SHARP AS SNAKE AND WISER AS DOVE NOW.

NOBODY CAN EVER FOOL US AGAIN WITH THE ISSUE OF BROTHER AGAIN, WHO LATER THEN JOINED PREMIER LEAGUE.
FORGETING us the amateur players in the local league, BUT I WILL SOON TELL YOU THAT THE LOCAL LEAGUE IS THE BEDROCK AND DETERMINANT OF ANY PREMIER OR ENGLISH LEAGUE.

WITHOUT US THE AMATEUR PLAYERS IN THE LOCAL LEAGUE, THERE WILL BE NO STRONG PREMIER LEAGUE TEAM THAT ALWAYS WINS.

Why shooting yourself in the leg Val?
If Peter Obi actually meant to go and win this Presidential election, he must choose a good media personnel who can always reason like a futuristic politician; who will be diplomatic in reasoning, considering his Boss Ultimate-primary(end-point) interest which is to win his Presidential election.

Val if i may asked you as a learned person;--"WHAT IS THE ESSENCE OF ALL THIS YOUR WRITE-UPS)"

Is Victor Umeh campaigning for Presidency with your Boss Peter Obi???

Whose image did you think you are tarnishing, when you justified same point, you said Victor Umeh gave in his interview, only that you try to add some salt to it, claiming from ur evil mind that Victor Umeh was pretending, and that he was not supporting ur boss in reality.

What point do you want to make???

Are you campaigning or Betraying Peter Obi by calling Arthur Eze, Victor Umeh etc names?
Why calling names of Ndigbo bu Igbo, who are supposed to give Peter Obi fatherly blessing and stand with him to assure his victory in his Presidential ambition.

Why do you want to terminate this our brothers Peter Obi's ambition by joining issues together, and putting confusion among us the friendly media Personnels???
I will rather use my new anointing as an Evangelist and change the narratives because whoever God chooses He blesses. God may even choose to bless, or use whoever you condemns as evil to change things to better in our Nation, who are you to question God???
cf 1 Corinthians 1;27-31; God doesn't think like a man or blesses like a man. If God counts or blesses like a man, he wouldn't have given such mega affluent to all these stars- the football players, great Musicians, noble film actors, wrestlers, boxers, name them????? So mind your tongue and utterances ok

LET ME MAKE IT CLEAR TO YOU, -"IF PETER OBI WILL NOT GET THE SUPPORT OF THE PROMINENT IGBO PERSONALITIES LIKE PRINCE ENGR ARTHUR EZE(Not minding the sins you feels He Arthur committed, He operates under Gods anointing to control such mega Wealth, it is not his making or man-made wealth, God is involved ok and you can never in ur life time measure-up to him), REV FR EJIKE MBAKA, SEN DR SIR VICTOR UMEH OFR and others he is going nowhere in his Presidential ambition. QED.

This Nigerian Musician Once Had The Biggest Song in The Country, But He is Nowhere To Be Found

This Nigerian Musician Once Had The Biggest Song In The Country, But Now He Is Nowhere To Be Found!
ScooperJul 23, 2020
Where is vocalist, Ekenedilichukwu Ijemba, otherwise known as Humblesmith? That is the issue on the lips of numerous music darlings in the nation.

Even however Ijemba began discharging melodies in 2014, he didn't pull in any consideration until 2015. The artist's single, Osinachi, was fruitful and he got the chance to perform at the absolute greatest occasions in the nation.

He was likewise named for some honors. In light of the fame of the melody, Humblesmith made a remix with Davido and that adaptation additionally circulated around the web.

READ ALSO:

For some time after the arrival of Osinachi, numerous fans compelled the artist to think of a subsequent single as he was quick getting known as a one-hit-wonder who performed just a single tune at shows.

He at that point discharged different tunes, for example, Jukwese (highlighting Flavor), Na U (including Harrysong), Focus, Abakaliki 2 Lasgidi (including Olamide), among others. Be that as it may, none of those melodies had an apparent effect.

That hustle included him wandering into the diversion business as an on-screen character, and featuring in various movies including Hypertension (2010) with Sam Loco Efe. He later changed to music and pursued fame through forming, recording, and performing Highlife music, a kind that rules Eastern Nigeria.

After a stretch in Asaba, and Ebonyi State he moved to Lagos to pursue the brilliant lights of music in 2013. The first form of 'Osinachi' was discharged in 2015, and it shot him into popularity in the country's East.

With the current yield of artistes overwhelming the business, it is important to discover why Humblesmith is clearly lost without a trace. A few endeavors made by Sunday Scoop to talk with the vocalist straightforwardly flopped yet his handlers kept up that the artist chose to enjoy a reprieve so as to chip away at his introduction collection.

It is not yet clear if Humblesmith will have the option to sing himself back to retribution after the arrival of his collection.

RAPE ALLEGATION AGAINST D'BANJ. Police Clear D'Banj as Seyitan Withdraws Rape Petition

Police clear D’Banj as Seyitan withdraws rape petition
LindaIkejiJul 24, 2020

Oladapo Oyebanjo, aka D’Banj, has been cleared of rape after his accuser, Seyitan Babatayo, withdrew her petition.

In a letter dated July 17, 2020, addressed to the Inspector-General of Police through her lawyer, Seyitan said she was withdrawing from the case for personal reasons.

The letter read in part, "We hereby officially notify you of our client’s intention to withdraw and discontinue her petition against Mr. Oladapo Daniel Oyebanjo aka D’Banj for personal reasons. Our client further humbly applies that the investigation and all other action that is currently being carried out by the police with respect to the statement."

Reacting to the letter, the Deputy Commissioner of Police (Admin), Umar Sanda, said investigation had discontinued due to lack of evidence.

Human rights group, Stand To End Rape Initiative (STER), said Seyitan decided to end the case without receiving any monetary compensation.

The statement from STER reads in pert: "On July 13, 2020, Ms. Babatayo informed STER that a private non-monetary agreement was reached with D’Banj’s team. We, therefore, present this statement as the full account of our stewardship on this matter."

Recall that Seyitan had accused D'banj of raping her at Glee Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos, in December 2018. She came out after a model scout called out D'banj for raping a female friend of his (Seyitan), though he didn't name her. Also, D'banj's former manager said that Seyitan had called him one morning in December 2018 to say that D'banj got the key to her hotel room and raped her.

Seyitan, through her lawyers, filed a suit, demanding an apology from the singer.

D'banj denied the allegation and sued Seyitan for defamation. He demanded N100 million Naira as compensation

Later, D'banj was accused of using his influence to intimidate and detain Seyitan after she couldn't be reached by her family/ lawyers. While she couldn't be reached, a tweet was sent out via her Twitter account to promote D'banj's new song. Another tweet was also sent out stating that she wanted to leave everything behind her and move on.

Seyitan later released a statement where she claimed that she was detained and intimidated by D'banj's people and they took control of her social media account. She also said she stands by her claim that she was raped by the musician (read here). D'banj reacted by suing her again, this time for N1.5 billion (read here).

She has now withdrawn the petition and the police are discontinuing the case against the musician.

PASTOR E. A ADEBOYE ENDORSE PETER OBI, AS THE NEXT NIGERIAN PRESIDENT

The General Overseer of Redeemed Christian Church of God,( RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye on Monday called on former Anambra State Governor, Mr Peter Obi to prepare to take over from president Mohammadu Buhari come 2023.

He made the called when members of CAN paid him a courtesy call at his residence in Lagos to discuss the issues affecting the country, church and the state of insecurity in Nigeria.

Daddy G.O as he is fondly called revealed that massive corruption is killing Nigeria gradually and must be stopped before it consumes everyone.

Having checked on the crop of politicians parading themselves as leaders, I found Mr. Peter Obi to be the most qualified to lead Nigeria to the promised land, therefore, I endorse him for president come 2023.

Pastor Adeboye who was involved in a Protest March recently against the killings of Christian before the lockdown call on the Federal executive to shorn tribal sentiment and work towards installing Mr. Obi as the next president of the federal republic of Nigeria.

“In the past, I have supported all the candidates that sort for my support, but today, I’m calling on all and sundry to rally round and support the emergence of Mr. Peter Obi of Anambra state ahead of the next general election”., he said.

“Let an honest Igbo Man with many years of wealth of experience lead Nigeria to the PROMISED LAND.

Saying ”We have tarried here for too long, It’s time to crossover to the other side of the Jordan” he appealed.

Anyim Fires Back at Arthur Eze

*Anyim* *Fires* *Back* *at* *Arthur* *Eze*

Editor July 24, 2020 1:39 Am

Former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Senator Anyim Pius Anyim fires back at businessman, Prince Arthur Eze for calling him a failure in government

I am constrained to address this letter to you, to express my utter displeasure over your relentless and mindless attacks on me for so long. I have maintained a dignified silence in the face of your multiple provocations but I can no longer do so as you have taken my silence for granted. It is my wish to recap my story with you and advise that, at your age, you should try to show some sense of dignity and decorum.
In an answer to a question in your interview, in THISDAY Newspaper of 16/7/2020, you, in your exuberance, veered off the question put to you, and gleefully recounted how public officers from other parts of the country had enriched you with contracts and oil blocks, while no Igbo man had done as much for you. Then you took on me, as has become your favorite pass time, on how, in your own judgement, I favoured my hometown without doing anything for the entire South East.

In your own words:
“during the time of Goodluck Jonathan, we had the Secretary to Government of the Federation (SGF), Pius Anyim. What did he do for Igbo People? He brought Julius Berger and they tarred his own road; the one leading to his house. All our roads were bad. It is President Buhari that is tarring our roads now. Look at Enugu – Onitsha Road, Enugu – Port Harcourt Road, Second Niger Bridge. He went and modernized Zik’s grave. Did Jonathan do that? Jonathan’s people wrote petition against him. His people said that he took their land and built a house. They copied me the petition and I showed it to him. I said look at it, they are your people. What do you want the north to do?”

It is clear from your thought process, as can be seen from the interview, that your anger was that I did not patronize you with contracts while I occupied the office of SGF. It can also be seen that in your convoluted judgement, any public officer who did not patronize you with contracts is not worthy of office. However, as is usual with me, I would not have bothered to dignify you with a response. But because you have taken it as a hobby to seek me out at any opportunity, if I do not respond, silence may no longer be golden.

Let me crave your indulgence to state where my paths crossed with yours, the reason you have sustained your campaign of calumny against my person. As you would recall, shortly after I assumed office as SGF, you came to my office with one man and a bunch of documents. You told me that the documents were the company profile of the man and that you wanted me to facilitate the man getting the contract for building the Headquarters of the Code of Conduct Bureau since the Code of Conduct Bureau was under my office. I told you that I had just assumed office and needed time to understand the workings of the office. And that I do not get involved with what my Boss did not ask me to do. Above all, contract awards must follow due process and I was not in a position to interfere with the process. I advised you to summit to the due process for securing government contracts. You left and I did not know what else you did but somehow your man got the contract. Since then you have been seeking me out at any opportunity. You lobbied and boasted everywhere that you must remove me from office.

Your mischief came to public display the day Chief Ifeanyi Ubah was launching his then Transformation Ambassadors of Nigeria (TAN) programme in the South East at Dr. Alex Ekwueme’s Square, Awka. I was invited to the programme as the representative of the Federal Government. Midway into the programme, you and your followers stormed in and demanded that I should not be allowed to represent the Federal Government as you had gotten approval from Abuja that another person should represent the Federal Government. You jumped on the podium to force the organizers to make the announcement that I was not the person to represent Government. However, when it was time for me to speak, I was duly called upon to speak for the Federal Government and that left you thoroughly deflated.

You may wish to recall that even as all those were going on, I neither paid any attention nor said a word to you, because as a true Igbo son, I have respect for my elders.

The purpose of this reply, therefore, is to advice you as follows:
*That I maintained my silence in the face of those provocations as a mark of respect for the office I occupied, and to ensure that nothing distracted me from the job I was appointed to do.

* That as a wealthy man, you should channel your resources and time to more worthy ventures. You may do well to emulate people like Alhaji Aliko Dangote or even our brother Chief Cletus Ibeto and be more useful to people around you.
In any case, I am not surprised that you could claim that President Jonathan’s administration failed in project delivery because your understanding of a performing government is one that gives contract to yourself. It is unfortunate and indeed a shame that you are now speaking ill of President Goodluck Jonathan. How ungrateful can you be.

I will not bother myself about the performance of President Jonathan’s administration because the records are conspicuous before the eyes and minds of Nigerians who are not contractors of your kind. Just for the records Julius Burger never executed any Federal Government road contract in Ebonyi State let alone any road leading to my hometown while I served as SGF. However, this is neither the time nor medium to give account of my service as SGF.
In conclusion, it is my wish to advise you to please respect yourself and your age. Never forget that respect is earned and that as a Prince from the esteemed Ukpo community, you should have more sense of honour. You perched around President Jonathan like a hungry fly while President Jonathan was in office. Now, you shamelessly and dishonourably say derogatory words about President Jonathan. One can only bet that you will do the same to the leadership of the present administration once they are out of power. That is not in the character of Ndigbo.

Finally, now that I am a private citizen take note that I can no longer tolerate your unwarranted attacks on my person.

Anyim, Pius Anyim, GCON.

Girl Commits Suicide Over Continuous Fights With Brother In Lagos

Girl commits suicide over continuous fights with brother in Lagos

A 20-year-old girl identified as Sherifat Suleiman has reportedly committed suicide over incessant fights with her brother.

The incident occurred at about 4pm on Sunday July 12, in Isawo area of Ikorodu, Lagos state. It was gathered that the deceased who lived in a two-room apartment with her brother, was preparing for the West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) before taking her life.

She reportedly began writhing in pain after ingesting a poisonous substance she bought. Neighbours who found her lying on the floor with whitish discharges from her mouth, said she died while being rushed to the hospital.

Vanguard reported that residents of the area said the girl decided to commit suicide when she could no longer withstand the physical and psychological assault by her brother she started living with after the death of their father. Upon examining her body, her neighbours noticed bruises on her legs and laps.

Her corpse was wrapped up by her step-brother who subsequently travelled down to their home town in Ijebu area of Ogun State, for her burial.

Feminist Attack Adeboye Over Advice For Wen To Be Submissive

Feminists attack Adeboye over advice for women to be submissive

Pastor Enoch Adeboye of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, RCCG, has come under attack over his statement on Monday advising young women to learn from his wife.

Adeboye had in a birthday message to his wife urged women to be submissive, cook and do their primary duties for their husbands.

He added that it is a terrible thing for a husband to see his wife as the head, adding that the man is the head of the home.

His comment has stirred reactions from feminists on social media who saw his statement as a way of diminishing the female gender and airing his masculinity.

According to some, Pastor Adeboye should have used his message to celebrate his wife’s achievement rather than talk about submission.

Here are some comments gathered by DAILY POST from Twitter:

@_Toseen “if marriage is going to be how Baba Adeboye described it, then f*ck it. I cannot can.”

@Hafizbello “Using your wife’s birthday to air your fragile masculinity to be superior is one of the signs we’ve got the wrong role models. Just tweet “stay jiggy” next time.”

@BForL3 “I went through this thread expecting to see her achievements. Legacies this woman has built, stories of lives she has impacted! but no I saw a man talking about submission eww!

@Seun_oj “Pastor Adeboye is not setting standard for anyone, he’s only expressing how submissive his wife has been these past few years.”

@GemmaOkpe “It worked then because they believed that was how it should be. Things keep changing, change is constant. They did it then doesn’t mean it’s right. Mutual respect is key.”

@Jules “I’m literally disappointed. Instead of eulogising the woman. You make it about you and how submissive she is. I literally cringed reading this.”

@Ebelee “Do you know how ugly it is that you need to reduce someone to feel worthy. Everyday “we rise by lifting others” until it’s your wife and then you rise by reducing her and removing her head so you can replace it with your own. That Pastor Adeboye thread is horrible on many levels.”

@Lettertojack “Pastor Adeboye is not wrong in how he thought was the best way to celebrate his wife. But we have to do better, we must unlearn celebrating women (wives) based on how much they can serve us alone, we should celebrate them on what they have accomplished too.”

@Mochievious “Pastor Adeboye should have just said “happy birthday flesh of my flesh” and keep it moving. Now we know he can’t do basic things like feed himself and trim his nails.“

@Kcnaija “If you don’t like how Pastor Adeboye and wife live their lives and how they are a model for greater number of people, you can take after Will Smith and Jada and entangle. Stop the attack on conservative Christian values in the name of wokeness, modernism and liberalism.”

@TifeOfficial “Normally, Women are supposed to be submissive to their Husbands, Pastor Adeboye was just stating facts and Appreciating his wife for being submissive, so it’s stupid to insult him, when he was just being right. Plus:if he was a terrible Husband, submission would have been hard for her.”

@SoniaEzee “Who trims her nail, who’s her cheerleader, she’s not deserving of that.On her freeking birthday you couldn’t give the woman a break you just made the whole thing about yourself, she basically exists through your shadow. Her purpose in life is to serve you all the days of her life.”

@FavouredSinner “Pastor Adeboye just showed you what a real Christian marriage should look like.If you are a Christian and you are a feminist, you are in a wrong religion. What is in the Bible is the opposite of what feminism is all about, and Man is just practicing his religion.”

3600 Rape Cases Recorded During Lockdown- Minister

3,600 rape cases recorded during lockdown –Minister
NewtelegraphngJul 14, 2020Read original

Minister of Women Affairs and Social Development, Mrs. Pauline Tallen, yesterday, said that about 3,600 rape cases were recorded across the 36 states of the federation during the COVID- 19 lockdown.

Tallen stated this when she paid a courtesy visit on the Deputy President of the Senate, Ovie Omo-Agege, in his National Assembly office, Abuja. She commended Omo- Agege for sponsoring the bill on sexual harassment, saying that by this feat, the lawmakers had written their names in gold.

The minister condemned the upsurge in rape cases nationwide, stating that she received reports from Commissioners for Women Affairs across the 36 states of the Federation, which revealed that during the COVID-19 induced lockdown, each state recorded not less than 100 cases of rape.

She also applauded the Nigerian Governors’ Forum (NGF) for declaring a state of emergency on sexual and gender-based violence calling for more legislation to protect the girl-child and women.

The development is coming on the heels of commendation by the United Nations Women (UN Women) on the approval of the bill by the Senate.

In a letter dated July 7, 2020, signed by Comfort Lamptey, UN Women Representative to Nigeria and ECOWAS and addressed to the Deputy President of the Senate, she noted that “UN Women stands ready to support federal and state efforts to implement this important legislation in the period ahead, working closely with women’s constituencies, students, educational institutions and other relevant stakeholders.”

Meanwhile, Omo-Agege has explained that the Senate passed the Sexual Harassment Bill in furtherance of its Legislative Agenda, which sought the protection of women’s rights.

He noted that when signed into law, it would not only send a strong signal to those who might want to abuse women, but ensure that students were not at the mercy of ‘sexual predators’.

The Bill to Prevent, Prohibit and Redress Sexual Harassment of Students in Tertiary Educational Institutions, 2020, which was passed by the Senate at its sitting on July 7, prohibits sexual harassment of students in tertiary institutions and prescribes jail term ranging from two to 14 years for various degrees of offences.

Nigeria House of Representatives Asks President Buhari to Order The Partial Re-Opening Of Schools

WASSCE: House of Representatives asks President Buhari to order the partial re-opening of schools

Members of the House of Representatives have called on President Buhari to instruct the Ministry of Education to partially re-open schools for students in graduating classes to sit for the 2020 West African Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination.

This call came days after the House Committee on Basic Education and Services issued a statement rejecting the decision of the Ministry of Education to rescind on its earlier decision to re-open schools for students in graduating classes to carry out revision work and also write their examinations.

Recall that the Minister of State for Education, Chukwuemeka Nwajiuba, had on July 6 announced that the examination, which was earlier scheduled for April this year but postponed due to the Coronavirus pandemic, will now hold from August 4 to September 5.

However, after the virtual Federal Executive Council meeting on Wednesday, July 8, the Minister of Education, Adamu Adamu, announced a reversal of that decision. He said Nigerian schools will not reopen any time soon “until it is safe to do so because of the COVID-19 pandemic”. According to him, final year students preparing for the Senior Secondary Certificate Examination (SSCE) will not be allowed to return to school contrary to the earlier announcement. The Minister added that the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) cannot determine the resumption date of schools for Nigeria.

The House during plenary today urged President Buhari to instruct the Ministry of Education to partially re-open schools for students so they can write their examination.

On Monday, July 13, the Ministry of Education released guidelines for schools to re-open but was however silent on the date of resumption.

Schools in Nigeria have been closed since March following the outbreak of the Novel Coronavirus.

FG Kicks Off Public Works Programme Suspended by National Assembly

FG kicks off public works programme suspended by n’assembly

The federal government has kicked off the special public works programme suspended by the national assembly.

The government announced the take-off via its official Twitter handle on Tuesday.

The programme, which is coordinated by the ministry of labour and employment, was approved by President Muhammadu Buhari as a part of the fiscal stimulus measures in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

A total of 1,000 Nigerians from each of the 774 local government areas will be engaged in the programme coordinated by constituted state committees.

“The State Selection Committees have been inaugurated and have commenced work,” the federal government said via its Twitter handle.

NigerianEye had reported that Buhari directed Festus Keyamo, minister of state for labour and employment, to commence the programme amid an ongoing misunderstanding with the national assembly.

Keyamo had come in collision with the national assembly over the legislature’s insistence on dictating the process of the programme.

The national assembly suspended the programme in the heat of its face-off with the minister, demanding further explanations.

At a meeting in June, members of the committee were near fisticuffs with the minister who was walked out of the event.

But Keyamo accused the committee of seeking to hijack the programme and to appropriate some job slots to themselves.

He also accused the national assembly committee of challenging the president by its action.

Special Broadcast on Covid-19 by the Governor of Anambra State, His Excellency, Chief Willie Obiano on Monday July 13, 2020.

Ogene Anambra 14 hrs ago

Ndi Anambra ekenem unu-o!

I am here to give you an update on our fight against the Covid-19 pandemic in Anambra State so far. As you are well aware, the Covid-19 pandemic is no more a distant threat. Some of us have lost close relatives and friends to complications arising from the Covid-19 pandemic. A good many people have been infected with the virus nationwide and our dear state is not insulated from this deadly virus. However, our best chances of surviving this global threat remain a strict compliance to the Covid-19 protocol.

Update on Covid-19 Cases in Anambra State:

Ndi Anambra, since the Covid-19 index case occurred in our dear state, we have collected a total of 618 samples and conducted 590 tests. Out of this figure, 101 were confirmed Covid-19 positive while 489 tested negative. We have 28 samples awaiting results from our laboratory. So far, we have recorded 12 deaths. But happily, we have a total of 77 people who have successfully recovered from Covid-19 through a careful management by our special Covid-19 medical team. They have all been discharged.

Ndi Anambra, the experience we have gained from managing the pandemic shows that early case detection and management play a major role in patients’ survival of Covid-19. Available data shows that all the patients who submitted to our call for early testing and treatment by our team survived the pandemic. The patients who have died so far were people who wasted a long time and reported their cases very late. It is therefore important that we all subject ourselves to early testing which will lead to early detection and management. Our Testing Teams have been stationed in all the 21 Local Government Areas to ensure the immediate collection of samples for testing. Ndi Anambra, Covid-19 is not a death sentence. With early detection and careful management by our medical team like we have shown, most of us shall beat the pandemic.

Our New Testing Facility:

Ndi Anambra, I am delighted to announce that our Covid-19 testing laboratory at the Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University Teaching Hospital (COOUTH), has started functioning. The lab became operational last week. Already, the laboratory has run a total of 208 Covid-19 tests in two days. Each of the 5 machines has an installed capacity to run 470 tests in 24 hours. This means that when fully optimized, our molecular laboratory can run a total of 2,350 Covid-19 tests in 24 hours. That is very impressive by all standards. Ndi Anambra, with this new capacity, we are finally ready to take the battle to Covid-19 in Anambra State. So, in the coming weeks, our Covid-19 figures will experience some rise as we ramp up more tests in our new molecular laboratory. Ndi Anambra, when you see a sudden surge in the number of cases from our dear state, please do not panic because it is a major part of our fight back against the pandemic. Biko, unu atuna egwu!

Fake Covid-19 Task Force on the Prowl:

Ndi Anambra, I have been reliably informed that a group of criminals parading in fake Covid-19 Task Force uniforms have been arresting people and extorting huge sums of money from them while posturing as working for the government of Anambra State. These tricksters are reported to be very active in places like Onitsha, Nkpor and Obosi. I wish to make it categorically clear that the only agencies authorized to enforce the Anambra State Covid-19 Law are the members of OCHA Brigade and ATMA and other trained agents in our markets. Any other agency or group of people masquerading as Covid-19 Task Force on the streets of Anambra State is fake. And I want to quickly warn these fake operators that the Anambra State Police Command has been directed to search for, arrest and prosecute anybody masquerading as a Covid-19 Task Force operator outside the people mentioned. To be forewarned is to be forearmed!

Ramping up our Covid-19 Tests:

Ndi Anambra, we are at a stage where one of our most effective survival strategies against this pandemic is to increase the number of tests we do. With the help of NCDC, we have successfully set up a major testing facility in Amaku. We have also deployed enough specialists to collect samples from the populace. However, our efforts will be in vain without the cooperation of our people. It may be interesting to note that from the testing expectations distributed to every state of the federation by the NCDC, Anambra State is expected to have done a total of 115, 974 tests in the next six months. A breakdown of this figure shows that Anambra must do a total of 4,425 tests per week to meet this national average. Ndi Anambra, with our new molecular lab, we can surpass that figure. But we must work together to surpass it. That is why I am appealing to all the traditional rulers and all the leaders of the church as well opinion leaders to assist the state in creating more awareness on the need for people to go for tests. Ndi Anambra, bikonu, let’s go for a Covid-19 test today. It is the only way to erase all doubts and also the best way to ensure early detection and treatment.

The Covid-19 Protocol:

Umu nnem, it has come to my knowledge that our level of alertness on Covid-19 has started dropping. Most people no longer observe the basic Covid-19 protocol such as regular washing of hands, regular wearing of face masks, frequent use of hand sanitizers and strict adherence to social distancing. In fact, I have been informed that some people even hold lavish parties and other ceremonies with large attendance in total disregard to the safety principles of Covid-19. Ndi Anambra, we must not willfully invite trouble to ourselves. Be warned that the law enforcement agents will deal with anybody or group violating the Covid-19 protocol. The best response strategy against Covid-19 remains prevention. The imperatives of adjusting to the lifestyle change imposed on us by Covid-19 cannot be over emphasized. Umu nnem, we must either adjust our lifestyle and adhere to the Covid-19 protocol or face the dire consequences of reckless living.

In Praise for our Healthcare Workers:

Once again, I wish to commend the great efforts of our healthcare workers who are our frontline of defence structure against this virus. I have been reliably informed that our healthcare workers have since raised their game as the number of cases rises in the state. That is the spirit of Anambra. Dalunu!

Conclusion:

In conclusion, Ndi Anambra as the country relaxes the rules that were hitherto put in place to stem the onslaught of Covid-19, it calls for greater vigilance from all of us. In fact, now more than ever before, we must all pay more attention to the Covid-19 protocol as that is still the best defence mechanism against the pandemic.

God bless Anambra State

God bless the federal republic of Nigeria.

Willie Obiano

Governor

Police Rescues American Lady Locked In Lagos Hotel After Marriage, Arrests Nigerian

Police rescues American lady locked in Lagos hotel after fake marriage, arrests Nigerian

Nigeria Police operatives have rescued an American lady confined in a Lagos hotel where she was held against her wish for over a year.

Force spokesman, Frank Mba, made this known in a statement on Sunday.

The victim, from Washington DC, is a retired civil servant in the United States.

She arrived Nigeria on 13th February, 2019 on a visit to a Nigerian, Chukwuebuka Kasi Obiaku.

The 34-year-old is a native of Ikeduru LGA of Imo State. The duo met on Facebook.

The victim was freed by agents attached to the Intelligence Response Team (IRT), Ogun State annex.

The operation followed information received from a Nigerian in the Meiran area of Lagos State.

The Police described Obiaku, a graduate of Business Administration and Management, as an internet fraudster who has defrauded many both locally and internationally.

He lured the America to Nigeria under the pretext of love and deceitfully married her on 15th May, 2019.

The suspect subsequently held her captive in a hotel and extorted a total of $48,000.

Obiaku also forcefully took control of her credit and debit cards and operated her bank accounts, including the receipt of her monthly retirement benefits and allowances.

This went on for a period of fifteen months.

Obiaku also used the victim as a front to defraud her associates and other foreign personalities and companies.

He will be charged to court upon conclusion of investigation and prosecuted in line with the Cybercrime Prevention/Prohibition Act, 2015.

FG Releases Guidelines For Schools Resumption

FG releases guidelines for schools resumption

The Federal Government has issued guidelines ahead of the planned resumption of schools in the country.

The guidelines, which failed to disclose the date of school resumption, was signed by the Minister of Education, Mallam Adamu Adamu and Minister of State (Education), Hon. Chukwuemeka Nwajiuba. It was developed in collaboration with the Federal Ministry of Environment, Federal Ministry of Health and health safety experts in the country

The guidelines outlined actions, measures and requirements needed for the safe reopening of schools after the coronavirus pandemic.

The guidelines released today, July 13, requires that students should be aided to maintain social distancing and stay at least 2 meters apart.

The guidelines dealt extensively on plans for school reopening and operations, including attendance, social distancing, hygiene, cleaning, and non-pharmaceutical interventions for safe and healthy school activities and programmes.

Mallam Adamu explained that the need to develop the guidelines became imperative, "given that COVID – 19 may be with us for a while."

On social distancing in shools, the document reads, "However, there are exceptions where the two-meter rule cannot be reasonably applied and other risk mitigation strategies may be adopted. Examples include early years, younger primary school children, and those with additional needs.

"In these circumstances, risk assessments must be undertaken with the best interests of the learners, teachers, and other education personnel in mind. The scenarios require organizing learners and children into small groups with consistent membership and compliance with the risk mitigation strategies. The membership of these groups should not change unless the NCDC public health guideline suggests otherwise."

With the release of the guidelines, the government would conduct a rapid assessment and determine funding requirement for upgrading infrastructure and facilities such as classrooms, furniture, Water, Sanitation and Hygiene-WASH and ICT facilities to meet and sustain prescribed safe school reopening requirements.

Notable among the items in the guidelines are recommendations for the review of existing policies, practices, and risk mitigation strategies in the use of schools for other purposes, such as distance learning centres, temporary shelters, isolation, quarantine and treatment centres, markets, voting centres, among others.

The document adds: "COVID – 19 pandemic poses an enormous risk to the health and safety of learners, teachers, parents, school administrators, education practitioners, and the wider community…More than 1.5 billion children and young people globally have been affected by school and university closures.

"As a responsible government, it is also our duty to provide comprehensive guidelines for a safe and hitch-free reopening of schools and learning facilities. We do so knowing that the health, safety, and security of learners, teachers, education personnel, and families are priorities."

Adamu said the guidelines also highlight the urgent need to maintain and improve upon distance-learning programmes.

Adamu said: "Our aim is to identify and strengthen programmes that will guarantee the recovery of learning gaps resulting from the pandemic.

"The guidelines were drafted in close coordination with health, environmental, education, and school safety experts who were tasked with the responsibility of charting a pathway for safely reopening our schools and learning facilities for quality teaching and learning."

Reported Spike in Covid-19 Cases in Anambra: A clarification

REPORTED  SPIKE  IN COVID-19 CASES IN ANAMBRA: A CLARIFICATION

Thanks for the inquiries about the reported dramatic increase in the number of Covid-19 infections in the state which some people, relying on the latest figures from the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) consider very high. A lot of people have innocently assumed that as many as 20 persons were infected in Anambra state in one day, fearing that the situation in the state is worsening rapidly.

The true situation is far from the impressions some have as a result of the figure. There is no dramatic increase in the number of COVID-19 infections in the state. The 20 cases reported by the NCDC yesterday were based on samples taken in over three weeks across the state. Some of the samples were even taken outside Anambra State, but were ascribed to our state because the people tested chose, for different reasons, to identify with the state. Only seven out of about 100 samples tested at Chukwuemeka Odumegwu-Ojukwu Teaching Hospital, Awka, turned out positive. Therefore, the COVID-19 prognosis of our state is still good, one of the very best in the country.

It is important to bear in mind that many of the 20 reported cases came from Nnamdi Azikiwe Teaching Hospital, Nnewi, which most unfortunately lost one of its key officers to reported complications arising out of COVID-19. His contacts in the medical college, teaching hospital, his private hospital, family and community have been traced comprehensively.

The relatively low positive results which Anambra State has been getting, despite the fact that a large number of our people travel extensively to all parts of the world for business and other legitimate pursuits and the fact that we have some of the largest open-air markets in West Africa patronized daily by millions of people from West Africa and beyond, show that many of our people have embraced our relentless message on COVID-19.

It is reassuring that the state has the capacity to manage cases should there be a spike. Apart from having teams of accomplished doctors, nurses, pharmacists, lab scientists, ward cleaners and ambulance who play vital roles in the COVID-19 case management value chain.  There are 600 beds in different protective care units in our state, otherwise known as isolation centres. The facility at the Onitsha General Hospital, with 58 beds, is the first centre in Nigeria to meet World Health Organization (WHO) standards.

Still, we should not rest on our laurels. The disease, which is highly contagious, is far from over in our state. In fact, we expect a spike in infections soon. With the commissioning of the Mega Laboratory at Chukwuemeka Odumegwu-Ojukwu University Teaching Hospital, Awka, capable of testing 470 samples for COVID-19 simultaneously, there is likely to be a rise in the number of infections. What is more, with the aggressive community search just initiated by the Governor Willie Obiano administration which saw the government set up a COVID-19 Task Force in each of the 326 wards in the state so as to reach the grassroots in a radical manner, there is likely to be an increase in positive cases.

We, therefore, have a responsibility to continue to guide our people to imbibe the habit of wearing face masks any time they come out in public, and wear them appropriately by covering their nostrils and mouths always, as opposed to the current practice where people wear the face coving on the chin and jaw. We also need to encourage our people to wash their hands for at least 20 seconds with running water and soaps and sanitizers. In addition, we have to observe social distancing by keeping away from people by at least six feet.

The Anambra State government has recently started a campaign on ways to boost our immunity as part of the strategy to fight COVID-19. Our system needs plenty of vegetables like bitter leaf (onugbu) and pumpkin (ugu) and fruits like lemons, oranges, avocados, etc, which are available in large quantities throughout the state and beyond in the rainy season and now sell at affordable prices. Our system needs things like Vitamin C, Vitamin D and Zinc for fortification. They are affordable.

It is important to pass on this message to our people in different ways. Preventing the spread of the coronavirus pandemic is far better than managing the cases by experts who have, in spite of all odds, demonstrated inspiring confidence, dedication and competence. History will be kind to them.

Anambra State has in the last few years become exemplary in a lot of ways. The leadership has shown the light, and the people are finding the way. Each of us has to continue to make Anambra  remain the safest state in Nigeria.

SOME OF THE OLD/NON-ACTIVE PHONE NUMBERS IN OUR WATSAPP GROUPS MIGHT BE INTRUDERS OR AN INFORMANT, LET'S BE CAUTIOUS.

SOME OF THE OLD/NON-ACTIVE PHONE NUMBER IN OUR WATSAPP GROUPS MIGHT BE AN INTRUDER OR WORKING AS AN INFORMANT.

Is time we start removing some non-active/adamant people or unsed-old numbers in our watsapp groups.
This is bc some phone numbers in most watsapp group are not longer in use by their original owners.

Some of the phone numbers in our watsapp group may act as  intruder/informant.
The above is possible bc some of those numbers have been assigned to another customer, who might a Yoruba, Housa etc users.

The condition might be that the owner lost his/her phone/sim card or stop using the line for some months before it was confiscated/banned; and the person failed to go for a welcome-back from the networks provider.
The network provider may then sale it to another customer, who may come from any part of the World.
So let's be more cautious in the people in our watsapp groups, by removing the in-active members, in-active members are members who have not commented in the group for the period of one month.

Let's be abided by the above security-move and be cautious for our security and security of the members, especially the personalities in our various groups.
Thanks.

They added that among themselves, they will raise Nuruz’s money and get the Igbo man back home.

In the video recorded for the Nigerian man to view, they told him to relax his mind and stop fretting because they are working to get him out. They said Nuruz gave them his word that he will not kill him if payment is made.

Some protesters took to the streets of Abuja on Tuesday to demand the arrest of Bola Tinubu, national leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), over two bullion vans believed to be conveying cash seen at his residence on the eve of the 2019 general election.
In February, 2019, viral pictures on social media showed the two bullion vans being driven into Tinubu’s residence, as many people looked on outside the premises.

In response to the controversy generated by the incident, Tinubu said the bullion vans contained money belonging to him and not for the government.

Pressing The Phone In The Toilet is more Vulnerable To Especially To Our Youths

After Reading This, You Won't Press Phone In The Toilet Again - Don't Ignore

Pressing phone in the toilet has become a culture in our time especially among the youth. I won’t lie, its enjoyable to just sit down there away from the disturbances of people and follow that trending gist on Twitter . You know, that celebrity gist on Instagram cannot be missed.
I know many of us do this. But do you know its a bad habit and its not good for your health?

That’s what I want to let you know today.

Pressing phone is not the major problem, but pressing phone can make you stay longer than you should in the toilet. Making you to strain, putting more pressure on your anus. This will make blood pull in your anus, leading to pile. Pile can be itchy, painful and makes you uncomfortable. Its really not what you want to have.

Secondly, toilet is not actually the best place to take your phone to as a lot of microorganisms are flying around especially as you flush the toilet. I trust most of us don’t clean the screen of our phones . So just don’t take the phone to the toilet.
So what should you do?
* Do not take your phone to the toilet.

* Do not sit more than 1-15 minutes in the toilet.

* If you are finding it difficult to defecate don’t force it

* Drink a lot of water to help you defecate easily.

Evangelist Ositadimma Luke Iloghalu on Air in ABS Programme -"Youth Involvement in Politics" Presented by Emeka Okeke Mmimi Enugwu Ukwu na umunri.

Evangelist Ositadimma Luke Iloghalu on Air in an ABS Programme on 2nd July 2020 with the Topic-"Youth Involvement in Politics", Presented by Emeka Okeke, Mmimi Enugwu Ukwu na umunri.
2nd July 2020

Evangelist Ositadimma Luke Iloghalu(Founder Ego Kristi Youth Movement International "EKYMI" aka Young International/Africa Leaders Assembly "YILA/YALA and an Executive Asst To Gov Willie Obiano) shared his views in an ABS Programmes by Hon Emeka Okeke Mmimi Enugwu Ukwu on the Topic-"Youth Involvement in Politics" among the guest Speakers was also a colleague, a Political Leader par-excellence Hon Echegwo Chibunna Godwin(Secretary-General Nigerian Youth Congress Anambra State Chapter, Coordinator NYCN Idemili North LG and Fmr NUASS National President).
We Ironed-it out with reasons for youth active involvement in Politics with or without money(Financial power or Financial Assistant).
From his views Evangelist Ositadimma opined that this youth involvement in Politics must be in accordance to God's directions, of keeping to God's law/commandments as a youth, in a such a manner God will stand for you, by you and fight for your way-up as a vibrant dedicated youths.
This authentic-sincere youth involvement in Politics is backed-up with the word of God in Isaiah 3;4(The Lord will let the people be governed by immature boys"Youths") and this divine clarion call on the youths is a more reason why must be involved and not for selfish interest/goals.

This Divine clarion Call of Isaiah 3;4 is what i termed-"YOUTH AGENDA 2020".
This Divine Clarion Call, then calls for the youths actively involvement in the National and State Politics in a Godly-sincere manner because God want to catch the youths younger and use them, as was in the case of David, Jeremiah, Isaiah etc.

I likewise appreciate the youth-friendly Governor in Nigeria Chief Willie Obiano for creating the conducive atmosphere for youths to thrive in an active Politics in Anambra State, by actively involving us the youths in a more practical way in his administration, unlike the previous administrations in Anambra and in Nigeria.
Akpokuodike Global remains the best, as far as youth active involvement in politics is concern.

Thanks

REVEALED !!! 6 Reasons Why Good Beautiful Girls Fall For Bad Boys

REVEALED!!! 6 Reasons Why Good Girls Fall For Bad Boys

There are many women who run toward men their mothers always warned them about. It seems nature takes over these girls and pushes them to start dating boys with personalities that only mean trouble. Thanks to research, we now know why this happens and why good girls choose to date those who can easily get them into trouble.

These wicked boys wouldn’t have the power to attract girls if their level of confidence was low. The point is that the level of confidence they possess is so high, it seems like their attitude is overflowing with it, which can be seen in their friends, the vehicle they drive, the food they choose to eat, and so much more.

So here we go:

Ovulation pushes girls toward troublesome boys.

Women fall for bad boys because it’s in their nature. Science says that when a woman is in her ovulation stage, her hormones influence who she sees as a great father figure for her future children. Near ovulation time, girls are attracted to good looking, charismatic, and rebellious boys.

The “bad boy” personality is more attractive.

They simply don’t care about anything. For them, there’s no rule book or specific rules they follow. They make their own rules and it seems like they always live on the edge. Even though they love to be in control and are passionate about their own beliefs, they still know the right way to treat a lady and make her feel pretty good.

Ladies search for an adventurous and fun spirit.

One of the signature characteristics of a “bad boy” is a love for adventure and excitement. For women, it seems that if a man is not living a wild life, it means they’re not suitable for them. They just can’t get enough of that adventurous spirit.

Women feel protected around them.

Girls choose bad boys over others because they want a male figure that they can be protected by. Most women who feel vulnerable and are afraid of crime search for a man who can protect them. In fact, their strong physical appearance is why women feel secure around them.

Girls choose attractive men over nice ones.

In one study, women were given scripts with profiles from 2 different men and they had to choose which one they preferred. Most of the women picked the profile with good physical attributes while the nice guy wasn’t often the final pick. Thanks to this research, we now know that the nice characteristic becomes a salient factor when choosing a partner for a serious relationship and instead, it’s the manipulative characteristic that bad boys have that looks more attractive.

They free the “bad girl.”

It is believed that girls who have a concealed inner rebellious side are easily attracted to men who can release that out of them. Usually, in girls, this trait was suppressed during childhood and one of the easiest ways for them to get it all out is to start dating a rebellious guy.
