The former National Chairman of APGA and representative of Anambra Central in the #8thSenate, *Senator Dr. Victor Umeh OFR (Ohamadike Ndigbo)* this afternoon obtained the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) Expression of Interest and Nomination Form at the APGA National Secretariat, Abuja in company of his amiable wife, *Lady Prisca Umeh (Osodieme)*, a chieftain of the Party, Chief Ben Obi (Mbuze Agulu), Chief Guy Okechukwu ( Ojuba Obosi ), Chief Kenneth Nwachukwu ( Akaomajideaku )and Comrade Uche Egbebike of the Movement for Good Governance and Conscience, Hon Azubike Imoka, Hon Gerald Ikechukwu Ozoh, the President General of Aguluzigbo Development Union, Hon. Chinwike Madueke, and numerous other leaders of thought and promoters of Igbo interest.
Speaking shortly after obtaining the forms, Senator Umeh expressed confidence in the contest stressing that the people of Anambra Central Senatorial District and ndị Igbo in general have keenly requested that he should contest the 2023 Election and return to the Senate.
He further expressed confidence on his chances of clinching the Party's Ticket noting that the APGA Party and its Leadership under National Chairman, Ozo-Nkpu Dr. Victor Ike Oye has promised to conduct a free, fair and credible Primary Election, and Members of the Party who are prospective Primary Election delegates are eager to cast their votes for his victory.
He maintained that his aspiration is people-driven and when elected, he will ensure a more robust, productive and people-oriented representation, thereby called on other aspirants to eschew politics of bitterness, but to imbibe the spirit of sportsmanship pointing out that as an internal democracy, Party Members will decide who flies the Party's Flag whereby other participants would join hands in working for the Party and its Candidate in the General Election.
