Campaign Against Crime-Innitiative, For A Crime-Free Christmas Celebration!!! by International NGO Ego Kristi Youth Movement International(EKYMI)

EGO KRISTI YOUTH MOVEMENT INTERNATIONAL(EKYMI)
aka
YOUNG INTERNATIONAL/AFRICAN LEADERS ASSEMBLY(YILA/YALA).
 FOR
*CAMPAIGN AGAINST YOUTH-CRIME, FOR A CRIME-FREE CHRISTMAS-CELEBRATION*

The Founder of Ego Kristi Youth Movement International(EKYMI) and an Executive Assistant to the Youth-Friendly Governor Chief Willie Obiano Evangelist Ositadimma Luke Iloghalu with his team-members of Ego Kristi Youth Movement Intl takes a move against the Daily Extortion of Money from Keke Riders and Customers from various parts of the world to Onitsha Main Market, the biggest market in West Africa.
After thorough investigative calls to the Chairman Onitsha South LG- Hon Emeka Asoanya, Hon Bar Uzoma Eli(Member Rep Onitsha South 1 in Anambra State House of Assembly, Hon Rommy Ezeonwuka(Special Assistant to Governor on Security/TaskForce), ACP Garba Rabiu(DPO Fegge Police Station), ACP John Ogbuagu(Area Commander Onitsha Police Command), CP John Abang(Commissioner of Police Anambra State) in respect to the extortion/collection of money from customers and keke riders coming for business activities in Onitsha; Ego Kristi Youth Movement International take their "CAMPAIGN AGAINST YOUTH-CRIME, FOR A SAVE YULETIDE CELEBRATION" to the DPO Fegge Poice Station and show their readiness to take the hoodlums out of the road if given enough support from the police, especially the tauts extorting money and scaring customers coming from various part of the World to Onitsha Main Market Onitsha to involve in various business activities.
On their various response ACP Garba Rabiu made it clear that he is up to the task and ready to take this boys off the road, only that these have authorised letters from the Anambra State Internally Generated Revenue Office but actions by these tauts is against a section in the Constitution of our country Nigeria by blocking the road to collect money from business men and road-users.
Rabiu Garba proffering solution to this menace, then suggested that the payment of this IGR by the Keke riders should be made an annual or 3 months quatery payment, which should be paid to the IGR office in Onitsha instead of these boys(that are suppose to be in their Schools) standing on the road on daily basis collecting this IGR Revenue for their various masters at the detriment of our customers coming from various State to transact their businesses. Garba lamenting on the bad name this boys are bringing to our State, advised that by making this IGR Collection annual/quartery months collection in the IGR office a LAW BY THE ANAMBRA STATE HOUSE OF ASSEMBLY, that it will likewise put a stop to the collection of other dues/money on the road bc it is against the Construction of Nigeria.

On his part the Commander of Onitsha Area Command ACP John Ogbuagu said the problem from his own views and from his practical witnesses is that the business men themselves and the Keke riders don't help issues bc whenever he pursue this boys with his men, some business men will go to the extent of hiding these boys in their shop when they ran-away, in a way to be good person's. ACP John also said that if the Keke riders are serious, they are supposed to have a meeting in their union and have strong word and stand that they will no longer pay any illegal money to this small boys on the road, and stand on it by writing to the State government.

I will build 21University Satelite Campuses in the 21 LG, If Elected the Governor- Dr Maduka

“I Will Build 21 University Statelite Campuses In 21 LGA If Elected Governor” – Dr. Maduka .

Days ago in Anambra state, Dr. Godwin Maduka, a Medical Doctor and Founder of Las Vegas Pain Institute in Las Vegas, USA announced his mission and vision for youths, with emphasis on massive support for education, through building satellite campuses for higher Institutions across all the 21 LGAs in Anambra State. He made the statement during the recently held Anambra Youths Fiesta/Summit at Umuchukwu, in Anambra state.

The youth Fiesta/Summit was organised by Godwin Maduka Foundation to reconcile youths and leadership, thereby seeking immediate response to the agitations of youths and the recent EndSARS protest in the state and across Nigeria. According to our Reporter, the occasion was quite entertaining, as it recorded several performances, noble appearances and presentations by popular Musicians, MCs, Comedian, Beauty Queens and other vibrant and youthful public figures.

Dr. Maduka while speaking during the Anambra Youth Fiesta/Summit emphasized on Education, Security, infrastructural improvements, job creation, empowerment and other key areas of critical concerns. Dr. Godwin Maduka stated that if elected as Governor of Anambra state, the level of impact his administration will engage for youths and especially education will be historic. However, the vision of Dr. Maduka for Anambra state will not only to benefit the state, but the entire nation and especially the southeast region as priority beneficiaries.

Before now, Dr. Godwin Maduka has invested his personal funds in several sectors in Anambra state. He has built schools, supported”Ndi Anambra” with scholarships, through his NGO to fund the education of teenagers and youths, both in Nigeria and across the world. He has built hospitals of world-class standards, police stations to support security, built houses for homeless persons, and has continued to consistently support the ageing population, as well as underprivileged persons in the state.

Very Big Trouble for ASUU, as Students drag ASUU to court over strike and demand #10bn compensation.

Students drag ASUU to court over strike, demand N10bn compensation.

The Law Students Association of Nigeria has dragged the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) before the Federal High Court Abuja, challenging what it described as the incessant strikes by the union.

The association is seeking an order to compel ASUU to return to the classroom as well as an order of perpetual injunction to restrain ASUU from embarking on further strikes.

The suit which was filed by the President of the association, Mr. Blessing Agbomhere on behalf of his members is also asking the court to compel ASUU to pay N10 billion compensation to Nigerian students.

This, the association claims, is for allegedly infringing on the right of the students to education as guaranteed by Section 18 of the 1999 Constitution and Article 17 of African Charter on Human and Peoples Rights.

The association is further asking the court to order ASUU to pay damages to all Nigerian students for the psychological and emotional torture metted out to them as well as the loss of valuable time following the continuous strike.

Speaking to newsmen, Agbomwere said that the suit was sequel to its findings that ASUU members had been short- changing the Federal Government by teaching in more than one university.

He said it’s investigations also revealed that members of the union were engaging in consultancy services in oil companies and collecting multiple salaries at the detriment of the Nigerian students.

Apart from ASUU, the association also joined Prof. Biodun Ogunyemi, ASUU President, the Minister for Education, the Minister for Labour and Employment, the Attorney-General of Federation and the Federal Government as 2nd to 6th defendants in the suit.

The association is seeking among other reliefs, a declaration the strike of the union is a breech of the right of members of the association to education.

“A declaration that the indefinite strike embarked upon by the 1st and 2nd defendants since March 2020, leading to the closure of government owned universities, which has detrimentally and negatively impacted on plaintiff’s learning and the smooth operation of academic calendar of universities, is a brazen infraction of the plaintiff’s right to education.

“An order of mandatory injunction compelling the 1st and 2nd defendants to call off the strike and return to the status quo ante bellum whilst negotiation for amicable resolution of the issues in contention or among the defendants is ongoing.

“An order of perpetual injunction restraining the 1st and 2nd defendants whether by themselves, servants, agents and/or privies from further declaring or embarking on indefinite and incessant strikes.”

The students are also seeking an order directing the 3rd to 6th defendants to re-open government owned universities and to honour their contractual agreements with the 1st and 2nd defendants in the overall interest of the plaintiff.

The students are also asking the court to award the sum of N10 billion against the union.

“This is to serve as general and exemplary damages for the loss of valuable time, opportunity, mental torture, psychological anguish and general deprivation which the plaintiff has suffered or is likely to be exposed to on graduation.”

No date has however, been fixed to hear the suit.

ASUU has been on strike since March 2 and officials of the union have been negotiating with the government since then.

#EndSARS: Let Peace Reign, My Generation Is Exiting, Buhari Tells Nigerian Youth

“Our own generation is on the last lap, we are exiting,” President Buhari said in response to the recent EndSARS protest.

Nigerian youths would do well to keep the peace, as it is in their own interest ultimately, President Muhammadu Buhari has said.

The President spoke Monday at State House, Abuja, while receiving in audience the Deputy Secretary-General of the United Nations, Amina Mohammed, Nigeria’s former Minister of Environment.

“Our own generation is on the last lap, we are exiting,” President Buhari said in response to the recent EndSARS protest, and the mayhem and destruction of public and private property that came in its wake.

“It is in the interest of the youths to keep the peace. They want jobs, infrastructure and development. I have sent a team led by the Chief of Staff (Professor Ibrahim Gambari) to go round the country, talk to traditional rulers, who will then talk to the youths. The views of the youths have been heard,” the president added.

He said that the current administration inherited severe infrastructural deficits, “and that is what we are fighting to correct. We can’t just sit, fold our hands, and do nothing. We are doing our best within the limits of resources.”

President Buhari rued the fact that COVID-19 has shrunk the global economy, noting that “this is something you can’t see, smell, or hear,” but which has wrought devastation on lives and livelihoods round the world.

On climate change, he said Nigeria was concerned about the recharge of the Lake Chad, which has great implications on security, irregular migration, and livelihoods.

The Deputy Secretary-General said she was on a courtesy call with her team to flag interest on challenges that concern the UN, particularly COVID-19, climate change, security, and humanitarian response.
